Measurement

We measure which pages are read here and which of the three networks a visitor goes on to. Compare Network is often the first thing someone sees, so without this the trail would only start halfway. Everything runs on our own domain: both the script and the data go through comparenetwork.eu, and nothing is handed to an advertising network. Cookies are placed, on every visit — this is not something you switch on.

Cookies placed by the measurement, with their purpose and lifetime
Cookie What it does Lifetime
im-vid Recognises the same device on a later visit, and across our own domains. 365 days
im-attribution Remembers where you arrived from, so a later sign-up can be traced back to it. 90 days
im-session Groups the pages you read into a single visit. 30 minutes

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing which parts of the network are used and where our visitors come from (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data stays with Invoiser Deutschland GmbH, is not sold, and is not used to build advertising profiles.

You can object at any time, at the address above. You can also delete or block these cookies in your browser — the site keeps working without them.

What this site does not do

Apart from the measurement above, this site stays deliberately plain.

  • No advertising, and no profiles built for advertising purposes.
  • No forms — you reach us by email, not through this site.
  • No fonts, scripts or images pulled from someone else’s network: everything the page needs comes from this domain.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records technical data for each request — IP address, time, the page requested, browser type — because a web server cannot deliver a page or defend itself without it. That data serves the secure operation of the site (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), is not tied to a person, is not used to build profiles, and is kept no longer than that purpose requires. The provider processes it on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

Email

If you write to us, we process your address and your message in order to answer it (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep the correspondence for as long as the matter or our records require, and we do not use your address for anything else.

Links to the comparison sites

From here you can move on to the sites in the three networks. Those run on their own domains and have their own privacy statements; from the moment you arrive there, theirs applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction, the right to object, and the right to data portability. Send your request to the address above; we do need to be able to establish which data is yours.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For our company that is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Ansbach); you are equally free to approach the authority in your own country.
